Dr. Jenna Whalen - Veterinarian

Born and raised on Long Island, NY, Dr. Whalen always knew she wanted to be a veterinarian.

She received her undergraduate degree from University of Delaware, followed by her DVM from Midwestern University in Glendale, AZ in 2025 as a member of the Phi Zeta Honor Society. Now new to Colorado, Dr. Whalen is excited to join the community and care for your beloved companions. She is Fear-Free Certified, a member of the International Association for Animal Hospice and Palliative Care, and a volunteer with the Denver Street Dog Coalition. She brings a warm, compassionate (and sometimes a little chatty!) approach to veterinary medicine, with special interests in preventative medicine, feline medicine, and end-of-life care.

When she’s not in the clinic, Dr. Whalen loves to do anything outside, with food, or involving her orange tabby cats, Cowboy and Ducky. She loves to travel and is eager to explore all that Colorado has to offer - so if you have any favorite hiking spots, restaurants, or tips for getting better at skiing, she’d love your recommendations! She is so excited to be a part of the team at Happy Tails, and cannot wait to meet you and your pets soon!
